1. About this policy
OcuTech LLC ("OcuTech," "we," "our," or "us"), a company registered in the Republic of Armenia, provides the Morse Keyboard application and its custom iOS keyboard extension (together, the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.
2. Information stored on your device
The App stores limited information locally so its features work and remember your choices. This may include:
- Morse training progress and scores;
- listening-practice progress and completed-word counts;
- the selected keyboard appearance;
- your haptic-feedback preference; and
- other basic settings required to operate the App.
This information remains on your device. OcuTech does not receive it.
3. Keyboard input and typed text
The keyboard processes your dot-and-dash input on your device to determine the corresponding letter, number, punctuation mark, accented character, or prosign. The decoded character is inserted directly into the text field you are using.
The keyboard does not:
- record or save your keystrokes;
- read or store the surrounding text in a document;
- create a typing history;
- transmit typed text to OcuTech or any third party;
- use typed text for analytics, advertising, profiling, or artificial-intelligence training; or
- access your contacts, location, photos, camera, microphone, or clipboard.
4. Allow Full Access
iOS displays an Apple system warning when a user enables Allow Full Access for any third-party keyboard. Full Access technically gives a keyboard additional system capabilities, including the ability to access a shared app container and use network resources.
Morse Keyboard contains no feature that sends keyboard input to OcuTech or any third party. If you enable Full Access, Morse Keyboard uses the additional permission only to support keyboard haptic feedback and shared local preferences, such as the selected keyboard appearance and haptic setting.
The keyboard remains usable without Full Access and falls back to the standard keyboard click where haptic feedback is unavailable. You can enable or disable Full Access, or remove Morse Keyboard from your enabled keyboards, at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Data collection and sharing
The App does not collect personal data or usage data. We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose App or keyboard data to advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties.
The App does not contain third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We may disclose information only if we actually possess it and disclosure is required by applicable law, valid legal process, or a binding request from a competent authority. Because App and keyboard data are not sent to us, we do not possess that data to disclose.
6. Data retention and deletion
OcuTech does not retain App usage information or typed text because the App does not collect or receive it.
Locally stored training progress and preferences remain on your device until you reset the relevant progress inside the App, change a preference, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App and its keyboard extension removes their locally stored data in accordance with iOS behavior.
Because we do not hold this local information, OcuTech cannot access, restore, or delete it remotely.
7. Support communications
If you voluntarily contact OcuTech for support, feedback, or another inquiry, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message, and attachments.
We use support communications only to respond to you, investigate the issue you reported, maintain appropriate business records, protect our rights, or comply with legal obligations. We do not sell support communications or use them for targeted advertising. We retain them only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and applicable legal requirements.
You may request deletion of a support communication by emailing support@ocutech.dev, subject to any legal obligation requiring us to retain it.
8. Children’s privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other users. All learning progress is stored locally on the device. If a child or parent contacts us directly for support, we use the information provided only to respond to the inquiry and handle it as described in Section 7.
9. International users and privacy rights
Because the App does not transmit personal data to OcuTech, there is no transfer of App or keyboard data to Armenia or any other country.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information you voluntarily provide in a support communication, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. You may exercise an applicable right by contacting us. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where required by law.
OcuTech does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
10. Security
Morse processing, learning progress, and preferences remain on your device and are protected by the security controls provided by iOS. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but minimizing data collection substantially reduces privacy risk. Please protect access to your device using the security features provided by Apple.
11. Third-party services and links
The App may rely on Apple system services to provide keyboard functionality, audio, haptics, settings, and App Store distribution. Your use of Apple products and services is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.
If the App or our website links to an external website, that website’s operator is responsible for its own privacy practices. This Privacy Policy does not govern unrelated third-party websites.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, legal requirements, or our data practices change. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the “Last updated” date above. If a change materially affects how the App handles personal data, we will provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
